Second edition
Building our Relationships
Regional Workshop 2019
The second edition of the First Nations Comprehensive Community Planning Regional Workshop was held from June 4 to 6, 2019 in the presence of our host, the Huron-Wendat Nation.

The workshop brought together more than 60 delegates representing 26 First Nations and a wide diversity of perspectives: women, men, Elders, youth, elected officials, employees, CCP experts, etc. Since relationships are at the heart of planning, the event also brought together Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations, including regional commissions and organizations. Their participation highlighted the support available to First Nations, from the planning stages to the completion of their community development projects.
The workshop showcased the inspiring work being done by First Nations in Quebec and in other areas of Turtle Island. Stories of change, conferences, interactive workshops, and networking activities invited participants to exchange ideas, share experiences and best practices, and build lasting relationships.
The event was funded by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and several of its representatives were present to strengthen relations with the First Nations and reiterate their support for community processes.
